Autodesk® Infrastructure Modeler 2012 Software

Autodesk® Infrastructure Modeler 2012 Software

Autodesk announced two new additions to the Autodesk Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Infrastructure portfolio for planning, designing, building, and managing more sustainable infrastructure.

These new products complement the Autodesk® Infrastructure Design Suite 2012, to help infrastructure professionals increase efficiency and remove waste from their processes.

One of the new additions is Autodesk® Infrastructure Modeler 2012, conceptual design software that helps infrastructure professionals evaluate future projects. Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler allows users to create models that represent the natural and built environment; evaluate multiple conceptual designs for projects all in one model; and communicate visually rich proposals to stakeholders. With this new conceptual design solution, GIS, planning, and civil engineering professionals can more quickly develop convincing project proposals to improve stakeholder buy-in and facilitate more confident decision making.

Revit PLUG-IN of the Month

Wall opening area for revit

DOWNLOAD HERE !   http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/ADN_plugins/

This section of Autodesk Labs contains a “plugin of the month" brought to you by the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN). The plugins provided are simple productivity enhancing tools that streamline the use of our design applications. The plugins are developed by Autodesk or by other ADN members.
All of the plugins we provide come with full source code to show what goes on inside and will have taken a relatively small amount of time to develop (from half a day up to about a week). The idea behind this is that nothing we deliver will be especially "out-of-reach" for someone wishing to invest in learning and using our Application Program Interfaces (APIs). Hopefully you are inspired to create your own plugins.
Supported Applications
Wall Opening Area for Revit
This plugin calculates the sum of openings on each wall and stores the values in two shared parameters for each wall:
