Had the question come up today about how to EXPORT the Bing map connection (Basejump) to a drawing that can be accessed by others that do not have Map 3D and/or Civil 3D.
Quick steps below:
- Connect to your Bing maps in the task pane.
- Zoom into your area of interest.
- Right click on the connecting in the Task Pane and choose "Resample Raster"
- Save your drawing (if needed)
- IF in the "Planning and Analysis" workspace. Choose the OUTPUT tab on the ribbon and choose "Save Current Map to AutoCAD"
- Key in command = MAPEXPORTCURRENTMAPTODWG
- This will export to a new ACAD file and create a PNG image as an XREF.
