Plenty of changes for Pressure Pipes in Civil 3D 2014
Civil 3D 2014 has many improved features for Pressure Pipe Networks. One of the most important improvements is the ability to create pressure pipe network data shortcuts. Meaning you can now share pressure pipe network data in the same style as other data shortcuts.
However, since 2014 Civil 3D is "Backwards Compatible" you will not be able to use the data shortcuts in Civil 3D 2013 files. Files created and saved in 2014 with pressure network references will open in 2013, but the network will not have the full functionality in 2013.
Other Pressure Pipe improvements are:
- Use the 3D Plane compass setting to rotate the compass plane when laying out and editing pressure networks in model view
- Use the rotate grip and 3D Snap compass setting to rotate pressure network fittings and pressure network appurtenances in model view

ReplyDeleteHey Shawn. Any updated from Autodesk on the Pressure Network Data Shortcut issue? When you do a DS of the network C3D totally ignores the profile of the source file
Deletehttp://c3d-pressuresystem.blogspot.com/ - Blog not found. I'm looking for a comprehensive parts catalog that goes way beyond what comes with C3D. Does such a thing exist?
